The project
This River Edge ranch needed a full roof replacement, and the homeowner did not want to wait for spring. Roofing in winter is entirely workable when the crew knows what they are doing — you plan around the weather window, keep the open deck covered, and do not leave a roof exposed overnight.
What we did
- Complete tear-off down to the deck, working section by section rather than opening the whole roof at once.
- Deck inspection and repair as each section was opened up.
- New underlayment installed immediately behind the tear-off, with ice-and-water membrane at the eaves — especially important on a winter job in Bergen County, where ice dams form at the edges.
- New architectural shingles with matching ridge cap across the whole roof.
- Full cleanup of the property when the job was finished.
The result
